A Giving Day is a 24-hour (or longer), online fundraising event. The purpose of holding one is twofold. The first reason to hold a Giving Day is to collect as many gifts as possible within a limited time period
Do you remember your days far above the Appomattox on the lofty hill of Virginia State? The Alumni Relations Office is offering you a unique opportunity to forever leave an impression upon your alma mater by purchasing a brick in our Pave the Way brick campaign to raise money for the Annual Fund. The VSU Annual Fund provides unrestricted, and much-needed, support for the University’s areas of greatest need. The Annual Fund is the most effective way for alumni and friends to demonstrate their investment in our mission and express appreciation for their education. Gifts to the VSU Annual Fund are immediately available to provide scholarship assistance to students, strengthen and enhance academic programs and sustain and grow athletic programs.

Starting September 8th until October 10th all gifts will be matched dollar for dollar by an anonymous donor! Gifts to Tuition Assistance will go where it is needed most, or give to a newly established or already established fund near and dear to your heart. The power of alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff coming together makes transformative experiences possible!
